Below are a couple of extracts from the Pub Green Paper. Firstly, looking at how affected Pubs in the UK believe their aspirations to be more sustainable had been by the recession. In the second chart, we see how confident respondents felt about being able to pass on any increased costs as a result of their green activities, directly to their customers.

Over half 56% claimed that the recession had not affected how green they were and 9% said there had been “some” influence

Almost a quarter 23% felt they were now greener than before, while 9% had put green plans on hold

Almost half the Pubs felt they could 48%, which was the highest positive response across all of the sectors questioned
